The North Face has always been a socially conscious brand, vowing to always empower exploration in an environmentally sustainable and responsible way. Now, in the campaign “Moving Mountains,” produced by creative agency Sid Lee, they look to some inspiring women to “shout” their message from the mountaintops. And we’re listening.

Sometimes subtlety is the key.

What can we say about the extraordinary women featured in these clips; the footage speaks for itself. To learn more about each one, watch the full-length segments on the campaign's home page. That said, did you catch the quick flash of the Women’s March towards the end of the video? In today’s climate, it can be risky to include anything political in a campaign, but this North Face ad does it in such a seamless and subtle manner that it is the perfect complement to their message about women role models. And for this: hats (of all colors and shapes) off to the company.

Together we make a great team.

The North Face brand knows that while each and every woman’s contribution is significant, there is power in numbers. And in this vein, they’ve joined forces with the Girl Scouts of the USA and activist/actor America Ferrera, to introduce and support a program of 12 new Outdoor Adventure badges promoting women in exploration and leadership.

“Moving Mountains” is reaching out to Instagram too with a chance for its members to share the photos and stories of their own female role models. Don’t we all know women who would make fantastic role models. Here are the details from the official site:

Post a black and white image on Instagram with #SheMovesMountains to tell your role model’s story by 4/30/18. Select submissions will be featured in a public art piece in NYC this summer.
